What Lies Behind 13,000 m³ of Concrete?

13,000 m³ of concrete. It is a figure that is easy enough to read, but much harder to visualise. So what does that amount actually look like? Almost the same volume of concrete was used for the reinforced concrete foundation slab of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. The figure of 13,000 therefore represents a scale that may not be immediately apparent when looking at a construction site. But the number itself tells only part of the story.

Behind Every Cubic Metre Is Careful Preparation

Concrete does not simply appear on site overnight. Every stage has to be prepared, scheduled and coordinated with the work of other trades.

Before a technical drawing can become a physical structure, it requires detailed planning, coordination and checks. What is completed today also has a direct impact on the work that follows tomorrow.

Construction is therefore not simply about the amount of material used. Above all, it is about precision and ensuring that every stage connects seamlessly with the next.

Eighty People on Site Every Day

In July, an average of approximately 80 specialists, skilled tradespeople and members of the project team worked at Nová Myslivna every day.

Each of them has a different role, yet all their work has to contribute towards the same end result. While one part of the team checks that the next stage is ready to begin, others continue with the practical work, deal with specific details or coordinate how individual activities fit together.

Materials alone do not move a construction project forward. People do.

When a Drawing Becomes a Home

A future resident is unlikely to think about how many cubic metres of concrete were used during construction. They will experience the space, the views, the materials and the way the individual elements of the building come together.

Yet it is the work that remains largely unseen during construction that creates the foundation for everything that will later feel natural and effortless.

The 13,000 cubic metres of concrete are therefore more than just a construction statistic. They represent the scale of the preparation, coordination and everyday work that is gradually transforming an architectural vision into Nová Myslivna.

The New Definition of Luxury? A Home That Gives You More Time, Greater Peace of Mind, and a Better Everyday Life

Until recently, the quality of a home was judged primarily by its layout, size, views and the materials used throughout the property. Today, however, the definition of premium living is evolving. Increasingly, what matters most is how a home makes you feel every single day. Across the residential property sector, the concept of wellness real estate is becoming ever more prominent. It goes far beyond simply incorporating wellness facilities into a development. Instead, it reflects a holistic approach to living—one that encourages relaxation, supports an active lifestyle, provides privacy, strengthens the connection with nature, and creates a genuine sense of comfort and security.

Why Do We Feel Better When We’re Close to Nature? And What Does It Mean for Everyday Living?

When choosing a new home, most of us naturally focus on factors such as layout, floor space, local amenities and transport links. Yet there is another element that has a profound impact on our quality of life, although we often only start to appreciate its importance when it is missing: our connection with nature. It is no coincidence that people consistently seek homes close to parks, woodlands and bodies of water. The environment in which we live influences our mental wellbeing, our ability to relax and unwind, and our overall sense of satisfaction in daily life.
